Sin is Sin?
I would often hear that "sin is sin no matter what the sin is." This statement implies that the sin of murder is the same as sin of telling a lie, and the same as stealing. Yes it's all wrong, so to some degree sin is sin; but wait, what about the intent behind the sin? If you commit murder while defending yourself or your family is it still sin? How about telling someone a lie to keep them from committing suicide? As we see, sin is not sin - not all sin is the same - it's the intent behind the sin that brings the judgment.
A few days ago I posted that your intent is in the soil, metaphorically saying that what you experience in life is a result of your intent. Intentions are your true feelings and emotions about a thought, the Law moves and is activated by feelings and emotions whether it's true or not; the Law brings no judgment, it doesn't decipher from right or wrong, it just works. Lets pay more attention to our Intentions above anything else and live a happier, God-filled life. Prayer and Meditation is a good start to checking yourself to ensure that your intentions are in alignment with what you want to experience in life. Be great today!
